Although the molecular structure arrangement of ultra-high molecular weight polyethylene is the same as that of ordinary polyethylene, because it has a very high relative molecular mass, it has many excellent properties that ordinary polyethylene does not have.
(1) Excellent wear resistance. The wear resistance of UHMWPE pipes is 4-7 times higher than that of ordinary steel pipes and 27.3 times of stainless steel.
(2) The friction coefficient is low and it can be automatically lubricated. In places with harsh environments and a lot of mud and sand, UHMWPE pipes can move freely to ensure that the relevant workpieces will not be damaged by abrasion.
(3) Non-toxic and tasteless. Ultra-high molecular weight polyethylene is an environmentally-friendly material that has been certified by the country. It is a new type of environmentally-friendly material that is non-toxic, tasteless, anti-fouling and anti-moth.
(4) The surface is non-adhesive and non-scaling. Due to its low friction coefficient and non-polarity, UHMWPE has surface non-adhesion.
(5) Low temperature resistance. Ultra-high molecular weight polyethylene pipes can be stored between -269°C and 80°C for a long time. Because there are few unsaturated molecules in the molecular chain and high stability, their aging speed is particularly slow.
(6) Chemical resistance. Ultra-high molecular weight polyethylene has excellent chemical resistance properties, and many corrosive media and organic solvents within a certain temperature and concentration range are also helpless.
