Cellophane, also known as regenerated cellulose film, is a type of cellulose membrane produced from natural cellulose sources such as wood pulp or cotton pulp. This is achieved through chemical processes including alkalisation, yellowing, and moulding. Unlike ordinary paper, it possesses both excellent flexibility and transparency, resembling glass in appearance – hence its name ‘glass paper’. Furthermore, it is a genuinely biodegradable material.

Features:

Non-toxic and odourless, with excellent transparency and breathability due to intermolecular gaps, it promotes product freshness. Possessing good heat resistance, it can undergo high-temperature sterilisation alongside foodstuffs. Derived from natural sources and biodegradable, it constitutes an ideal eco-friendly packaging material.

Types:

1. Transparent paper rolls, a type of roll paper with exceptional transparency.
Classified by application:
(1) Transparent rolls for direct packaging of foodstuffs or other industrial goods.
(2) Possessing excellent printing and laminating properties.

2. Transparent flat cellophane, a highly transparent and lustrous regenerated cellulose film, is widely used in the packaging of foodstuffs, industrial goods and other premium products.

3. Coloured cellophane, a coloured regenerated cellulose film produced using innovative technology. Available in a range of colours including red, yellow, blue, green, pink, orange and purple. This product offers excellent decorative effects and colour vibrancy, finding widespread application in the colour packaging of foodstuffs, fireworks and other premium goods.

4. Cellophane tape, a regenerated cellulose film specifically manufactured for adhesive tape production. It finds extensive application across various manufacturing sectors including electronics, electrical appliances, cleanrooms, automotive, and high-end apparel, as well as within stationery and food packaging industries.
