Common Uses of UHMWPE Fiber

  1. Ropes

It has the advantages of ultra-high strength, light weight, and low elongation. The strength is basically the same as the steel cable of the same diameter. At the same breaking strength, the weight of the rope is only 1/8 of the steel cable, 1/4-1/5 of the nylon or polyester rope, and 18%-20% of the polypropylene rope. It is only 55%-60% of nylon or polyester rope and 45% of polypropylene rope.

Application areas:
Mooring of large ships and cruise ships, naval equipment, marine engineering, sports equipment, power communications, and hoisting of large precision instruments, etc.

2. Anti-cutting Gloves

Ultra-high molecular weight polyethylene fiber, through a special coating process and spandex, nylon, polyester, glass fiber to make a covering yarn, woven into cut-resistant gloves. Compared with gloves made of aramid fiber and steel wire yarn, they are lighter, thinner, more tactile, comfortable to wear, abrasion resistant, and durable. They can be effective for front-line workers even under harsh working conditions. Protective effects.

3. Fishing Lines

The fishing line woven by ultra-high molecular weight polyethylene fiber has the characteristics of high strength modulus, low density, wear resistance, aging resistance, seawater resistance, and corrosion resistance. Compared with other synthetic fibers (including nylon, polyester and aramid), UHMWPE fiber has the highest strength-to-weight ratio. Its strength is 10 times the strength of steel of the same weight and its density is small, so it can float on the water.

Besides it is also used in make technical fabrics, nets, braided surgical suture etc. Our fiber has no fluffs, and high breaking tenacity. Welcome your inquires.
